CR Beverage enhances aseptic production with high-speed complete lines from Sidel

The challenge

With growing consumer demand for premium, eco-friendly beverages, CR Beverage needed to scale up its production capacity while ensuring the quality and safety of its products. The company sought a solution that could handle high-speed production across various beverage types and packaging formats, without compromising sustainability or product integrity. The new production lines also had to align with the company’s goal of meeting the projected 4.6% compound annual growth rate of the beverage market between 2023 and 2027.

The solution

CR Beverage opted to continue its long-standing collaboration with Sidel by installing three high-speed aseptic complete lines at its facilities. These lines incorporate Sidel’s cutting-edge Aseptic Combi Predis technology, which integrates preform sterilisation, blow moulding, filling, and capping into a seamless process. This system is recognised for its dry preform decontamination method, which uses hydrogen peroxide mist, significantly reducing water and chemical consumption.

The new lines are designed to produce up to 54,000 bottles per hour for 450ml formats and 27,000 bottles per hour for 1L formats. They also feature advanced labelling systems, such as the EvoDECO labellers and high-speed conveyors, ensuring flexibility and efficiency for both high-acid and low-acid products.

Sidel’s solution not only supports CR Beverage’s production goals but also enhances its environmental stewardship. By eliminating the use of water in the sterilisation process and drastically reducing energy consumption, the new lines contribute to a lower overall environmental footprint.

The outcome

The installation of Sidel’s high-speed aseptic lines has enabled CR Beverage to significantly boost its production capacity and maintain product quality. All three lines were successfully validated for aseptic operations on the first attempt and became operational within 90 days. These achievements demonstrate the reliability and efficiency of Sidel’s technology and CR Beverage’s readiness to meet growing market demands.

The new lines’ sustainability features also align with CR Beverage’s commitment to reducing environmental impact, helping the company achieve its sustainability targets while catering to consumer preferences for healthier, eco-friendly beverages.

"We have successively introduced bottled water lines and aseptic lines from Sidel, and all of them have been successfully put into production. Especially the aseptic lines have passed the aseptic validation in one go and reached the rated production capacity as scheduled, demonstrating the professional level and high synergy of aseptic technology."
