StarLITE®-R Still

Balancing high production speeds, recycled PET (rPET) and low bottle weights while maintaining high performance is a complex challenge that StarLITE®-R STILL meets with precise bottle base shaping and efficient material distribution. This bottle base design offers both high production speeds and sustainability for water, juices, milk, and edible oil in 0.25L to 2.5L round, square-round and rectangular bottles.

High performance with patented design and technology

StarLITE®-R STILL ensures exceptional bottle performance during production, conveying, storage, transport and use. This innovative solution integrates Sidel’s patented mould base technology, featuring a dedicated design for smooth material stretching and precise distribution; an efficient base cooling circuit and optimised venting. All this offers the following benefits for your bottle:

  • Increased base resistance and minimum defects such as bursts during blowing, which is particularly important for lightweight bottles
  • No base deformation ensuring functionality and stability even at high temperatures
  • Efficient base cooling and consistent quality at high speeds, which is ideal for rPET that is likely to be processed at higher temperatures
  • Reduced blowing pressures while keeping perfect shaping

Improved sustainability and costs

StarLITE®-R STILL is not just about performance, it is also a sustainable choice that enables 100% rPET, lightweight and low blowing pressures:

  • Switching from virgin PET to 100% rPET can achieve reductions of 2,400 tonnes of CO² equivalent every year1
  • A low 16 bar blowing pressure reduces air consumption by 20% for single serve bottles, achieving savings of 51 tonnes of CO² equivalent and 205,000 € every year2
  • The bottle base is also compatible with a wide range of weights, including extremely lightweight bottles weighing as little as 7g for a 500ml format.
