Join our dynamic team as a Shipping Agent, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring timely equipment exports that meet our customers' delivery commitments. In this position, you'll coordinate shipments globally from our production centers in Italy, France, Portugal, China, India, and Canada to our valued customers. At Sidel Group, we manage all global logistics activities, requiring seamless coordination of documentation, customs operations, and communication with various stakeholders, including packers, transport companies, freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal teams such as Project Management, Production, Sales Administration, and Finance. Your Mission

In this role, you will manage all aspects of logistics, customs, and transport for both inbound and outbound shipments. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating with carriers to schedule deliveries and optimize shipping routes.
  • Preparing and verifying shipping documentation while ensuring compliance with import/export customs regulations.
  • Tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery and proactively addressing any issues related to damaged or delayed shipments.
  • Collaborating closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to minimize costs and enhance shipping efficiency.
  • Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as delivery accuracy, lead time, and shipping costs to drive continuous improvement in service quality.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the key contact for Project Management, the shipping department, and Sales Administration during the execution phase of Complete Lines projects, Stand Alone, and Upgrade.
  • Leading transport and packing coordination projects for Equipment Complete Lines, Stand Alone, and Upgrade.
  • Ensuring adherence to logistics and fiscal guidelines for Sidel flows during execution shipments.
  • Evaluating offers from logistics suppliers and issuing Purchase Requests in SAP.
  • Accurately issuing all necessary shipping documentation for each execution shipment.

Your Profile

We are seeking a dynamic professional with a strong background in customs operations and a deep understanding of import and export regulations. Your expertise in cost-effective transport and packing solutions will be crucial in optimizing our international logistics processes.

Key Qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree or equivalent in Management Engineering, Business Administration, Transportation, or Technology.
  • Proficiency in English is essential, as it serves as the primary language in the global shipping and logistics arena.
  • Additional language skills are highly valued, particularly in Spanish, Mandarin, French, or German, to enhance our communication with international clients and suppliers.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the shipping department of a multinational company or in the operations department of a freight forwarder.
  • In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
  • Proven expertise in transportation logistics.
