Line Layout Execution Designer

Your opportunity

We are looking for a Line Layout Mechanical Designer, based in Parma, part of Regional System Design Team in EPM Organization, reporting to the Local Lead Line Designer. Located in Parma (Italy), our site employs nearly 800 people and has developed around different areas such as project management, sales, after sales, digital solutions, engineering, integration services and line design and automation. The ideal candidate will have experience in design of line layouts. He will be responsible to develop mechanical layouts in execution, ensuring correct integration of Sidel machines and Third-Party Equipment.

Your Mission

Accountable for Q-C-D projects deliverables (layouts/conveyors design) for the assigned new equipment projects:

• (Q) Quality - Project scope and specifications are clearly defined; deliverables are being met to defined specifications
• (C) Cost - Project deliverables are being completed within the project baselined cost
• (D) Delivery - Deliverables are being completed within the assigned schedule timelines

Ensure all required statutory and regulatory conditions are being met, including Sidel corporate values, governance and processes

Activities related to project delivery:

• Perform Site Survey and participate in customer meetings
• Integrate all the equipment into the layout, in accordance with safety, ergonomics and efficiency requirements
• Fine tune the contractual layout, adapting standard design to customer requests and contract specifications
• Produce all engineering deliverables for customers such as utilities layout, floor specifications, recommended drainage plans
• Manage in execution suppliers of 3PE conveyors integrated in the scope of supply
• Finalize Execution mechanical conveyors layouts
• Build the line functional Analysis, ensuring a line efficiency in accordance with standard internal guidelines and customer expectations
• Liaise with Sidel conveyors manufacturing sites, distributing all technical data critical for conveyors production
• Accountable to drive line safety risk assessments and to release line user manuals and technical files as part of the line certification process
• Liaise with Installation Site Team providing installation and positioning layouts

Your Profile

Level of education and languages:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Fluent in English; second language is a plus

Required experience and Skills

• 2+ years of experience as a layout designer in beverage industry
  
  
• Knowledge of conveying systems and associated concepts
• Fundamental understanding of mechanical, electrical and assembly drawings
  
  
• Knowledge of Sidel Portfolio is a plus
• Good communication, team spirit and ability to engage stakeholders
• Problem solving attitude
• Capability to work under pressure to meet customer deadline and comfortable managing multiple tasks
  Proficient in MS Office
• Knowledge of CAD environment (Autocad) 2D high level mandatory, 3D is a plus
• Available to travel up to 50% of the time
