As Sidel invests in the technology portfolio, the IT Enterprise Architect will be responsible for defining, maintaining, and evolving the IT architecture framework of the organization. This role will involve establishing and operating enterprise architecture governance, creating and publishing enterprise architecture principles, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategies that will ultimately deliver business value and drive the Sidel sustainable growth objectives.  This is a unique opportunity to play an active role in defining the

What is expected of you …

  • Drive the development of target architecture frameworks and roadmaps, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Establish the IT architecture governance processes to ensure ongoing adherence to the architectural principles.
  • Lead the adoption of architectural practices across the DT&T organization.
  • Align internal and external stakeholders to ensure synergies and technology optimization across the organization.
  • Support the realization of benefits from new and enhanced technology solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of the IT landscape to ensure a knowledge-rich environment.
  • Identify opportunities and barriers in technology strategy and delivery, keeping innovation at the forefront of planning and execution
  • Develop the practice of architecture with Sidel effectively developing communities of practice across enterprise, solution and data architectural areas.
  • Contribute, as a member of the Digital & Technology leadership team, to the development and continuous improvement of the digital strategy and operating model within the digital function.Leading by example the change management process.

What does your success look like …

  • A clear enterprise architecture roadmap is in place and is being followed.
  • Application roadmaps are in place with a clear connection to business strategy and capabilities.
  • Systems and applications are modular, scalable and interoperable.
  • Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) are being applied in an appropriate fashion.
  • Technology decision making is underpinned by enterprise-wide standards and best practices.
  • Technology debt is being systematically addressed.
  • The architectural practice is in place and cross coordination between architects is established.
  • Cloud, DevOps and automation are leveraged for operational efficiencies.
  • Establish external connections to continuously learn and apply industry & technology trends that add value to Sidel’s strategy.
  • Demonstrates ability to set clear objectives, develop roadmaps, anticipate risks, measure performance, and evaluate results.

Your Profile

What you bring to Sidel …

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or engineering. Graduate level (MBA preferred)
  • 5 + years’ experience as a lead enterprise architect role in global manufacturing organizations and 10+ years’ experience in IT architecture roles.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise and domain architecture, including data, integration, and applications.
  • Proven experience of setting up an architectural function within IT teams with limited architectural experience.
  • Strong understanding of IT delivery methodologies, cost-benefit analysis, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in enterprise tools, frameworks, and approaches (e.g., SOA, microservices, predictive analytics, Agile/Lean, ITIL, Togaf etc..).
  • Experience of working in SAP dominated technology eco-systems and industry 4.0
  • Strong interpersonal skills working at all levels of the organization. Ability to negotiate with both internal and external groups and gain trust to align opportunities for overall success.

  • Be proactive and hands-on, unafraid to roll up your sleeves and get things done with pragmatism when necessary.
  • Have experience leading engagement practices, promoting best practices, enhancing collaboration among peers, and preventing duplicate efforts to ensure a cohesive and efficient approach across the team.
  • English is the business language.French and/or Italian language skills would be an advantage.

Travel:

Sidel is a global business, and teams are geographically spread with the Digital & Technology team primarily located in Italy, France and India.Travel should be expected at 20% of the time.
