The Supplier Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies and managing suppliers for assigned spend categories, both globally and locally. The goal is to achieve commodity objectives and ensure alignment with the Group's strategy to drive performance and profitability for the business.
Votre mission
- Develop and implement global commodity strategies: Create short- and mid-term strategies for assigned spend categories, including strategic areas. This involves performing and consolidating deep analysis (spend, cost breakdown) and assessing business continuity.
- Budget forecasting and risk identification: Define the annual budget forecast year over year, analyzing the assigned spend and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Market monitoring and improvement: Continuously monitor the market through benchmarking to improve costs, quality, delivery, and technology.
- Supplier negotiations and contract management: Negotiate and apply contracts with both global and local suppliers.
- Supplier base management: Oversee supplier management tasks, including contracting, financial risk assessment, non-quality cost recovery, supplier visits, disengagement processes, and managing supplier relationships globally. Monitor KPI trends and implement necessary corrective actions
- Supplier collaboration: Actively interact with suppliers to drive productivity, meet quality requirements, and mitigate risks. Manage escalated issues impacting execution.
- Supplier scouting and qualification: Identify and qualify new suppliers in line with the category strategy, developing a unique and sustainable supplier base.
- Commodity analysis and market monitoring: Continuously monitor markets and perform cost breakdown analysis for relevant commodities (e.g., cost, strategic importance). Escalate any significant non-conformities. Perform business continuity assessments, including financial risks, supplier dependency analysis, and capacity assessments (including dual-source analysis).
- Stakeholder communication: Effectively communicate and manage relationships with internal stakeholders to contribute to cross-functional projects.
- Ensure compliance: Ensure compliance with sourcing processes and Group strategy.

Votre profil
- Master’s Degree or equivalent. A degree in Engineering is preferred; a background in Business/Economics is also accepted.
- Fluency in both English and French is required. Knowledge of Italian and/or Chinese is a plus.
- Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing within an international manufacturing company.
- Knowledge of mechanical drawings, raw materials, constraints, and treatments is a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or sales is a plus.
- Experience in international negotiations, contract management, and claims management.
- Experience working outside of your country of origin is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills, which are essential for effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
