Automation engineer (W/M/D)

Sidel is looking for an Automation Engineer M/F to support their customers in the acquisition of blowing machines. Reporting to the Automation Manager, in Octeville sur Mer, you will join a dynamic Automation Engineer team whose objectives are focused on customer satisfaction.

Your Mission

You will work with our customers on the following tasks:

• Software development support on equipment and test benches
  validation of onew development
• management of automation software development (PLC and safety standard) up to field testing and customer support on request.
• management of IR (problem solving), RCA, etc.
• participation functional analysis, FMEA
• evaluation of the performance of tests of all software following the defined method

You will ensure that you are familiar with the technical documentation of the software related to the project

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the directives and rules regarding software development.

You will continue your partnership with internal departments in the following ways:

• Work closely with the hardware team and the HMI team
• Support the procurement department (internal tests and simulation test benches)
  
  

Your Profile

You have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position in an industrial environment and have a good level of English (written and oral). You have a good understanding of electrical design and HMI design.

You have the following technical skills:

PLC/Motion/Hardware/Network/Mecattronic/safety skills
B&R & Siemens, Robot (Fanuc) skills
Knowledge of aseptic equipment and processes highly appreciated
Knowledge of SAP is a whole
Knowledge of Lean methodology is an asset
Your interpersonal skills are your strongest asset because they allow you to work in a team and interact with other internal collaborators.

You know how to work autonomously. You are proactive and have a strong problem-solving ability.
This position requires frequent travel: Availability to travel up to 20% (Sidel sites, suppliers and customers).

Languages spoken:
Written and spoken English and French
Italian is an asset
