Miswa Chemicals UK, an internationally recognised manufacturer of automotive, household, and insecticide products, needed to transition from manual loading of big metal cans, Jerry cans, and aerosols in corrugated cases to an automated solution. Established in 1979, the family-owned company owns household brands such as Kilit, Pavan, and Polyguard.
Sidel delivered an affordable packing solution accommodating different primary and secondary packaging shapes and types while maintaining product integrity. The Cermex WB46 wrap-around case packer replaced manual RSC packing for aerosol metal sprays, saving on annual corrugated cardboard volumes and allowing reliable shelf-ready packaging. The Cermex SF39 automatic case packer, recommended for large 3L and 4.5L metal cans, loads products from the bottom of the case, ensuring full product integrity. A similar monobloc bottom loading Cermex SF39 case packer was selected for 5L Jerry cans, overseeing 12 cases per minute.
Sidel’s collaboration with Miswa Chemicals is part of a broader complete line upgrade project that led to a 40 percent increase in production capacity.
