Reliability Engineer

The Reliability Engineer will play a pivotal role in enhancing the reliability and performance of the Sidel equipment. This position requires close collaboration with engineering design, operations, project execution, and sales teams to develop strategies that prevent failures, optimize performance, and meet customer requirements. The engineer will also establish and maintain a robust network with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement

Your Mission

• Reliability Methodologies: Lead the development and implementation of reliability methodologies
  and tools to define and execute comprehensive test plans for new modules and platforms.
• DFMEA Specialist: Serve as a Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) expert,
  driving the completion of mandatory Functional Analysis, risk assessments, and DFMEA.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering design, operations,
  project execution, and sales teams to ensure the reliability of packaging machines.
• Customer Focus: Engage with customers to understand their needs and incorporate feedback
  into reliability strategies.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine
  reliability and efficiency.
• Test Planning and Execution: Develop and implement test plans based on mission profiles
  and anticipated failure modes. Specify test conditions, number of parts, and monitoring
  types, and analyze results to propose improvement plans.
• Reporting: Prepare comprehensive final reports based on test objectives and statistical outcomes,
  translating findings into actionable insights.
• Training and Documentation: Create and disseminate guidelines, procedures, and best
  practices related to reliability methodologies.
• Innovation: Develop and implement new methodologies to reduce qualification timelines
  and improve machine performance.
• Collaboration: Work with global qualification testing teams and external partners to ensure
  seamless integration of reliability practices.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certifications
  are advantageous
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar environment, preferably in automated packaging
  machinery
• DFMEA specialist (mandatory)
• Proficiency in Office 365, SAP, SolidWorks, and multi-format data processing
• Expertise in analysis software such as Minitab and Reliasoft suite
• Knowledge of RAMS (Reliability/Availability/Maintainability/Safety)
• Familiarity with accelerated and aggravated testing techniques
• Understanding of thermal mechanics, fluid mechanics, and electrical principles
• Advanced statistical knowledge, with a Black Belt certification being a plus
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with crossfunctional
  teams and senior leadership
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced
  environment
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Good knowledge of Sidel machines and their process. A relevant industry specific experience
  would be an added advantage
