We are looking for a Line Layout Designer - Precontracting, based in Reichstett - France, part of Regional System Design Team in EPM Organization, reporting to the Lead Line Designer. Located near Strasbourg, our site employs nearly 200 people and has developed around different areas such as project management, sales, after sales, digital solutions, engineering, integration services and line design and automation. The ideal candidate will have experience in design of line layouts according to customer specifications. He will be responsible to develop the most suitable layout solution for the Customer, ensuring correct integration of Sidel machines and Third-Party Equipment.
- Accountable for Q-C-D projects deliverables (layouts/conveyors quotations) for the assigned new equipment projects:
- (Q) Quality - Deliverables are being met to defined specifications and in accordance with Company guidelines
- (C) Cost - Project deliverables are being completed within strategic regional sales targets
- (D) Delivery - Deliverables are being completed within the assigned schedule timelines
- Ensure all required statutory and regulatory conditions are being met, including Sidel corporate values, governance and processes

Group of functional activities critical for the effective delivery of the project:
- Understand customer needs
- Perform Site Survey and participate in customer meetings
- Collect inputs from internal Product Divisions and Suppliers to develop engineering layouts for the offer, in line with Company sales strategy to satisfy customer specifications and requirements
- Accountable for line dimensioning and accumulations calculation, with the purpose to achieve a line efficiency in accordance with standard internal guidelines and customer expectations
- Prepare conveyors quotation in line with Project Manager Proposal requirements and Customer specifications
- Manage 3PE conveyors suppliers in precontracting
- Integrate all the equipment into the layout, in accordance with safety, ergonomics and efficiency requirements
- Ensure data collection for project launch and handover with Design Execution Team
Level of education and languages:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Fluent in English; second language is a plus
Required experience and Skills
- 2+ years of experience as a layout designer in beverage industry
- Knowledge of conveying systems and associated concepts
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical, electrical and assembly drawings
- Knowledge of Sidel Portfolio is a plus
- Good communication
- Problem solving attitude
- Capability to work under pressure to meet customer deadline and comfortable managing multiple tasks
- Proficient in MS Office
- Knowledge of CAD environment (Autocad) 2D high level mandatory, 3D is a plus
- Available to travel up to 50% of the time
