Your opportunity

We are seeking for an Industrial Engineering Leader in our Santa Maria da Feira plant. The Industrial Engineering Leader's mission is to define and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes from the equipment design (or development) stage through to customer installation. To face the integration of new equipments to our portfolio, we are expanding our local team from 3 to 6 people. Joining this team, you will play a key role in supporting local production, participating to upskill our manufacturing processes.

Your Mission

Project developments

  • Participate to the design of equipments to integrate industrial design and assembly constraints as soon as possible with a Design to Cost and Design for Manufacturing approach.
  • Actively participate in the control of equipment costs with the purchasing departments (Product Cost).
  • Arbitrate the choice of method of supply of machine components in accordance with the manufacturing process.
  • Supervise the prototype assembly process to solve manufacturing and assembly problems as soon as possible.
  • Define pre-series and serial manufacturing processes as part of project development toll gates.
  • Develop the mechanical tools necessary to manufacture the equipment.

Production support

  • Supervise the provision of the technical documentation necessary for the assembly of the machines.
  • Supervise the industrialization and optimization of assembly processes to reduce manufacturing lead time.
  • Actively collaborate with quality service to reduce customer and internal non-conformities.

Support to purchasing and quality departments

  • Participate in the development of strategic suppliers.
  • Participate in the development of critical components requiring in-depth technical expertise (Industrial Validation).

Your Profile

  • Knowledge of metallurgy (materials and processing)
  • Knowledge of mechanical/electrical/automation manufacturing and design
  • Proficiency in design software, office software, and ERP
  • Problem-solving methods and tools, Lean.
  • Intermediate-level professional English.

  • Master's degree in Engineering with 3 years of experience.
  • BTEC Higher National Diploma's degree in Technology with 10 years of experience (either in mechanics or mechatronics).
  • Synthesis skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills to document technical processes.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
